Dr. Olivia (Lady O) Foreman

The late Dr. Olivia Anderson Foreman was the beloved wife of Apostle Steve I. Foreman and a devoted servant of God, family, and the community. A native of Richmond, Virginia, she was born and reared in the city and grew up in a Spirit-filled church. She served faithfully alongside her husband as a Pastor’s wife for sixty-four (64) years and as Co-Pastor for more than thirty (30) years. Together, they dedicated their lives to serving God and His people.

Lady “O,” as she was affectionately known, was the mother of five adult children, grandmother of ten, and great-grandmother. She held a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Virginia Commonwealth University and earned several Associate Degrees in Business Administration and Biblical Studies. Her passion for Christian education led her to establish the Abundant Life Christian Academy and serve as Administrator of the Abundant Life Day Care.

In December 2008, an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree was bestowed upon Dr. Olivia Foreman by Teamwork Bible College in recognition of her lifetime achievements and dedication as a student and teacher of the Bible. She served as the overseer of the Abundant Life Women’s Fellowship and was the founder of the Power-Filled Women’s Conference, which operated for more than twenty-five years.

In December 1995, God blessed Dr. Foreman with a vision to establish a peer group consisting of Lady Pastors and Senior Pastors’ Wives. These women of God came together, weaving a common thread of “caring and sharing” as they encouraged one another and shared their experiences with the Lord and in ministry.

Lady Olivia received numerous awards and recognitions throughout the Richmond community for her service and contributions to women. She was featured in the book Radiance: Powerful Women of Virtue, Yesterday, Today and Forever, which highlighted her contributions to ministry and the Metro-Richmond community. She was also nominated in 2008 for the Pine-Sol Powerful Difference Award and, in 2015, received the “Shero” Award from CollabHERation of the Virginia Women’s Business Center.

Lady “O” was a Christian educator, expressive speaker, writer, and woman of vision. She believed deeply in the power of God’s Word and was gifted in the area of dream interpretation. She authored numerous books, including The Genesis Series: Stop Blaming Eve, What Your Dreams Reveal About You, Gifts of the Spirit, Christian Living in the 21st Century, and Spiritual Temperament and Personalities.

Dr. Olivia was known for her unique gifting, talents, and comedic style, which she used to bring joy and authenticity to her ministry. She continued to dream prophetically, hear from God, and boldly deliver fresh Word from the Lord. Her life reflected a woman who was passionate about God, committed to family, devoted to ministry, and determined to use every gift God had given her for His glory.

Dr. Olivia and Apostle Steve I. Foreman were blessed with five children: Steve III (Bonnie, deceased), Gary (Lady LaTanya), the late Tonya Edgerton (Pastor Isaac), Kimberly Smith (Otis), and Monique Folston (Ira). They were also blessed with ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Most of their adult children, along with their spouses and grandchildren, loved the Lord and were active in ministry.

Dr. Olivia resided with her husband in King William County, Virginia, where they continued their shared commitment to spreading the Gospel and serving the Kingdom of God.

Dr. Olivia Anderson Foreman departed this life on September 2, 2024, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of faith, wisdom, love, family, education, women’s ministry, and service to the Kingdom of God. Her life and ministry continue to speak through the many lives she touched, the women she encouraged, the Word she taught, the books she authored, and the family and ministry legacy she helped build alongside her beloved husband.
