Our Doctrine

Why do we worship God?

And Jesus answered and said unto him, “Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God and Him only shalt thou serve.” Luke 4:8 For the Lord is a Great God, and a Great King above all gods. Psalm 95:3

 Why do we stand?

And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with a loud voice on high.  II Chr 20:19

Why do we clap our hands?

O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with a voice of triumph.  Psalm 47:1

Why do we lift our hands?

Thus will I bless Thee while I live; I will lift up my hands in Thy Name.  Psalm 63:4Let my prayer be set forth before Thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.  Psalm 141:2

Why do we teach and preach the Bible?

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed?  And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard?  And how shall they hear without a preacher?  Romans 10:14

What is our prayer language?

We pray in English and in tongues.  One prayer language is the evidence of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit by speaking in unknown tongues.  We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Biblical experience that is necessary and useful to sustain us in our everyday lives.  We can tell God in the heavenly language what our earthly minds cannot articulate.  Acts 1:4-8; 2:4; 8:17, Mark 16:17

Why do we receive tithes and offering?

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room to receive it.  Malachi 3:10, Hebrew 7:5 Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord thy God which he hath given thee  Luke 6:38
